Auto glass & windshield
replacement in Sylvester, GA.

Sylvester calls itself the Peanut Capital of the World, and that tells you most of what you need to know about the glass work here. Farm trucks, cab glass, and a lot of miles on dirt. We run mobile service into Worth County and we cut equipment glass in house.

Local conditions

Farm country is hard on glass

US 82 runs straight through Sylvester between Tifton and Albany, carrying trucks all day. But the damage we actually see in Worth County comes off the county roads — limerock and dirt roads between fields, where every vehicle that passes you is throwing something.

Worth County agriculture runs on peanuts, cotton, corn, pecans, and produce, and every one of those crops means equipment with a cab. Combine glass, tractor glass, peanut picker and cotton picker cabs, grain cart tractors. That glass gets broken by limbs and stalks, not rocks, and it is not something a windshield-only outfit can source.

Timing matters more here than anywhere else we serve. During peanut and cotton harvest a machine sitting in the yard waiting on glass is costing real money by the hour, and it cannot be driven to Moultrie. That is why we bring the glass to the field.

Harvest season and the Peanut Festival

October is the worst possible month to be down in Worth County — peanut harvest is running flat out and the Georgia Peanut Festival brings the whole county into town. We keep harvest-season cab glass moving and we will run to the field rather than making you shut a machine down and haul it.

What we handle

Auto glass work we do in Sylvester

01

Windshield replacement

Full replacement with quality glass and OEM-approved urethane, correct moulding, and a real safe drive-away time. Rain sensor, heated, and HUD glass included.

02

Rock chip & crack repair

Resin injection that stops a chip spreading and restores strength. Fast, far cheaper than replacement, and often covered at no cost under comprehensive.

03

Door, back & quarter glass

Break-in or accident damage. We vacuum the tempered glass out of the door cavity and the interior, then get the vehicle sealed and safe before we leave.

04

ADAS recalibration

Static and dynamic recalibration of forward-facing camera systems — lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise restored to spec.

05

Farm & equipment glass

Tractor and combine cab glass, skid steer and loader glass, and heavy truck windshields. Cut, sourced, and installed, including on site during season.

06

Fleet & dealer accounts

One point of contact, batched service visits so we are not interrupting you five separate times, and consolidated invoicing.

ADAS recalibration

A new windshield is
only half the job.

If your vehicle was built in roughly the last decade, there is a camera looking through your windshield running lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise. Move the glass that camera aims through and its calibration is no longer correct.

Plenty of installers hand the keys back and hope no warning light comes on. We do the recalibration — static with targets in the shop, dynamic on the road, or both, depending on what the manufacturer requires for your vehicle.

Very few shops between here and the interstate cities do this in house. For Sylvester drivers that is the difference between one appointment and a second trip to Albany, Valdosta, or Tallahassee.

Mobile service

How it works in Sylvester

We come to the house, the shop, the pack house, or the middle of a field. Farm trucks do not drive themselves to town during harvest, so we bring the truck to them.

1

Call with your vehicle

Year, make, and model. We tell you what glass your vehicle takes, whether it needs a camera recalibration, and what it costs — cash price and insurance price both.

2

We confirm the glass

If it is in stock, we schedule you right away. If it has to come in, we tell you honestly how long rather than booking you and calling back to move it.

3

We come to Sylvester

Home, work, or job site — all we need is a reasonably level spot. If your vehicle requires static calibration on a level floor, we tell you that up front, not after the glass is out.

4

Safe drive-away, quoted per job

Urethane cure time depends on the product and the weather that day. We give you a real number before we leave instead of a generic one.

Insurance, straight

Georgia does not require insurers to waive your deductible on glass. Any shop promising a free windshield before reading your policy is guessing.

When you open the claim, your carrier will ask which shop you want and will often suggest a national chain first. That is your choice, not theirs. Name Boring’s Glass Company and they send the claim straight to us.

General information only, not insurance advice. Your policy governs.

“I called them looking for a windshield for my ’84 GMC square nose. Was unable to locate one anywhere — called numerous places within a four-hour one-way drive. They said they could have it by 8:30 the next morning. Called at 8:45, they had it.”

Hard-to-source glass

Straight answers

Sylvester auto glass questions

Will you come out to the farm in Worth County?

Yes, and during harvest that is most of what we do out there. House, shop, pack house, or the middle of a field — all we need is a reasonably level place to work. Farm trucks and equipment do not drive themselves to town in October, so we bring the truck to you.

Do you do tractor and combine cab glass?

We do, and most auto glass shops will not touch it. Tractor and combine cab glass, skid steer and loader glass, peanut and cotton picker cabs, and heavy truck windshields — cut, sourced, and installed, including on site during season.

Can you find glass for an older or unusual vehicle?

Usually, and we would rather source it right than talk you into something that does not fit. We have tracked down glass for trucks from the 1980s that customers could not find within a four-hour drive. Call with the year, make, and model and we will tell you honestly what we can get and how long it takes.

Do you offer mobile service to Sylvester for a regular car?

Yes. Sylvester is about 30 miles from our shop and it is a standing part of our mobile route. Home, work, or job site. The one exception is a vehicle needing static camera calibration on a level floor, which has to come to our bay.

Does insurance cover this?

Windshield damage falls under comprehensive coverage, and Georgia does not require carriers to waive your deductible — so it depends on your policy. Many carriers do cover chip repair at no cost to you. We are an approved provider with most major carriers, so name us when they ask which shop and they send the claim straight to us.
