If your vehicle was built in roughly the last decade, there is a camera looking through your windshield running lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise. Move the glass that camera aims through and its calibration is no longer correct.
Plenty of installers hand the keys back and hope no warning light comes on. We do the recalibration — static with targets in the shop, dynamic on the road, or both, depending on what the manufacturer requires for your vehicle.

I took a rock on I-75. Repair or replace?
As a rule of thumb, a chip smaller than a quarter that is not in the driver’s direct line of sight and not touching the edge of the glass can usually be repaired. Long cracks, edge cracks, and anything already spreading need replacement.
