Auto glass
Windshield replacement,
chip repair & recalibration.
Cars, trucks, farm equipment, and fleets — in our Moultrie shop or wherever your vehicle happens to be. We are an approved provider with most major insurers, and we recalibrate the safety cameras that other shops skip.
01
Windshield replacement
Full windshield replacement using quality glass and OEM-approved urethane, with correct moulding and a real safe drive-away time. Rain sensors, heated elements, and HUD glass included.
02
Rock chip & crack repair
Resin injection repair that stops a chip from spreading and restores strength. Fast, far cheaper than replacement, and often covered at no cost by comprehensive policies.
03
Door, back & quarter glass
Broken side window or back glass from a break-in or an accident. We vacuum the tempered glass out of the door and interior and get the vehicle sealed and safe.
04
ADAS recalibration
Static and dynamic recalibration of forward-facing camera systems after glass replacement — lane keep assist, automatic braking, and adaptive cruise restored to spec.
05
Farm & equipment glass
Tractor and combine cab glass, skid steer and loader glass, and heavy truck windshields. Cut, sourced, and installed — including on site during season.
06
Fleet & dealer accounts
Municipal fleets, contractors, ag operations, and dealerships. One point of contact, batched service visits, and consolidated invoicing.
ADAS recalibration
A new windshield
is only half the job.
If your vehicle was built in roughly the last decade, there is a camera looking through your windshield. It runs lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. Move the glass that camera aims through and its calibration is no longer correct.
Plenty of glass installers hand the keys back and hope no warning light comes on. We do the recalibration — static with targets in the shop, dynamic on the road, or both, depending on what the manufacturer requires for your vehicle.
If your vehicle needs a calibration we cannot do in your driveway, we will tell you that when you call rather than after we have pulled your glass.
| Typical shop time | 60–90 minutes for replacement; add roughly an hour for recalibration |
|---|---|
| Safe drive-away | Quoted per job based on urethane and weather — usually one hour minimum |
| Glass options | OEM, OEM-equivalent, or quality aftermarket — explained before you commit |
| Insurance | Approved provider with most major carriers — name us when your carrier asks which shop, and they send the claim to us |
| Mobile service | Available across Colquitt, Tift, Worth, Thomas, and Cook counties |
| Warranty | Workmanship and leaks warrantied for as long as you own the vehicle |
Times and options vary by vehicle. Call the shop for specifics on yours.
Mobile service
We’ll meet you
wherever the truck is.
Farm trucks do not drive themselves to town during harvest. Neither do work vans on a deadline. Our mobile trucks cover five counties out of Moultrie — your house, your shop, the pack house, or the middle of a field.
We also handle tractor and combine cab glass, which most auto glass outfits will not touch.
Insurance, explained honestly
What Georgia drivers actually pay.
Some states legally require insurers to waive your deductible on windshield claims. Georgia is not one of them. Any shop that promises you a free windshield before looking at your policy is guessing.
Here is how it really works: windshield damage falls under comprehensive coverage, not collision or liability. If you only carry liability, glass is out of pocket. If you carry comprehensive, what you pay depends on your deductible and whether your policy includes separate glass coverage. Many carriers do cover chip repair at no cost to you, because fixing a chip is cheaper for them than replacing a windshield later.
Here is the part most people do not know. When you call your insurance company to start the claim, they will ask which shop you want to use — and a lot of the time they will suggest a national chain first. That is your choice to make, not theirs. Tell them Boring’s Glass Company in Moultrie. We are an approved provider with most major carriers, so they will send the claim information straight to us and we will handle it from there. You do not have to call us back or chase paperwork.
If you would rather skip insurance entirely, ask for a cash price — we will quote both so you can compare.
General information only, not insurance advice. Your policy governs.

Auto glass questions
Repair or replace — how do I know?
As a rule of thumb, a chip smaller than a quarter that is not in the driver's direct line of sight and not touching the edge of the glass can usually be repaired. Long cracks, edge cracks, and anything spreading need replacement. Send us a photo or bring it by and we will tell you honestly — a repair is cheaper for you and we would rather do the right one.
Do you use OEM glass?
We can source OEM, OEM-equivalent, or quality aftermarket glass depending on your vehicle, your insurance coverage, and your budget. We will explain the difference so you can check what your policy covers before you commit.
What is ADAS recalibration and does my vehicle need it?
Most vehicles from roughly 2016 onward have a forward-facing camera mounted behind the windshield that runs lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise. When the windshield comes out, that camera has to be recalibrated to the new glass or those systems can read the road wrong. We do static and dynamic recalibration in house. We will check your specific vehicle when you call.
How soon can I drive after a windshield replacement?
It depends on the urethane and the weather, but typically one hour minimum. We will give you the exact safe drive-away time for your job and we will not rush it — the windshield is a structural part of your vehicle and part of how the airbag deploys.
Do you handle farm equipment and heavy truck glass?
Yes. Tractor and combine cab glass, skid steer glass, semi windshields, and equipment door glass. This is a big part of what we do around here and most auto glass chains will not take it on.
